What is Critical Incident Response Planning?
Critical Incident Response Planning is the structured process of preparing a golf club to effectively manage medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, trauma, or serious illness on the course.
At Shield Training, this involves developing a clear, customised plan with individualised visual renderings of your course, access points, and defibrillator location. This informs our training of your staff, formalising how staff will respond in the crucial first minutes of an incident, before emergency services arrive.
Critical Incident Response Planning includes identifying emergency access points, placing defibrillators and first aid kits in strategic locations, establishing communication protocols, and training staff in their roles during a crisis. The goal is simple: faster response, better outcomes, and peace of mind for your members and guests.
